May 6, 2010 has arrived and it is a day set aside for National Prayer. As a Christian and then an American, I often pray for our National leaders, our Military men and women, families of our troops and for persecuted Christians everywhere. As a Christian I am commanded by God’s Word to pray. 1Timothy 2:1 “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-- 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men-- the testimony given in its proper time. 7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle-- I am telling the truth, I am not lying-- and a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles. 8 I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.”
I want to offer my prayer, which is in agreement with Daniel’s prayer, in hopes you will agree with me in this powerful movement for our Country. I will put parenthesis around my assertions. Daniel 9:3 So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes. 4 I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed: "O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with all who love him and obey his commands, 5 we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. 6 We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, (President) our princes (leaders) and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.(America) 7 "Lord, you are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame-- the men of (America) Judah and people of (America) Jerusalem and all (America) Israel, both near and far, in all the countries where you have scattered us because of our unfaithfulness to you. 8 O LORD, we and our kings, (President) our princes (leaders) and our fathers are covered with shame because we have sinned against you.
9 The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him; 10 we have not obeyed the LORD our God or kept the laws he gave us through his servants the prophets. 11 All (Americans) Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you. "Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you. 12 You have fulfilled the words spoken against us and against our rulers (leaders) by bringing upon us great disaster. Under the whole heaven nothing has ever been done like what has been done to Jerusalem. 13 Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us (America), yet we have not sought the favor of the LORD our God by turning from our sins and giving attention to your truth. 14 The LORD did not hesitate to bring the disaster upon us, for the LORD our God is righteous in everything he does; yet we have not obeyed him. 15 "Now, O Lord our God, who brought your people (to America) out of Egypt (Europe) with a mighty hand and who made for yourself a name that endures to this day, we have sinned, we have done wrong.
16 O Lord, in keeping with all your righteous acts, turn away your anger and your wrath from (America) Jerusalem, your city, your holy hill ( Your Country). Our sins and the iniquities of our fathers (leaders) have made (Americans) Jerusalem and your people (Christians) an object of scorn to all those around us. 17 "Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, O Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary (Church). 18 Give ear, O God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy.
19 O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For your sake, O my God, do not delay, because your ( Country) city and your people bear your Name.(Christian)" Now for anyone concerned about my assertions let me say I am not changing God’s Word, only applying it to today! One last Scripture to sum up my assertions. 2Chronicles 7:13 "When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” Are we not Christ-ians? We bare the Name of God’s own Son and are adopted into God’s family through His Sacrifice on the Cross. Are we Christians not sealed with the seal of approval through His Resurrection and the giving of the Holy Spirit? YES! Have a Prayer filled Day for our Country!

Search and Destroy babies!
Search and Destroy all defects in the womb! This article from Albert Mohler.com is an indicator of the arrogance present in America. For all Christians reading this that have had or is seeking to have an abortion, regardless of situation, might want to close this article now! Better yet read on and reconsider your vanity and folly! Abortion is not a choice for Christians. Who are we to decide who lives and who dies? That’s right, if your are a liberal Christian and say you have a right to choose an abortion, you will be guilty of murder in the eyes of God. The blood of your baby will cry out to the Living God. God will hold you in Judgement for taking a Life. Exodus 20:13 "You shall not murder.” Ratsach is the Hebrew word for murder! Defined- to dash in pieces, i.e. kill (a human being), especially to murder:--put to death, kill, (man-)slay(-er), murder(-er). Cross reference this to Proverb 6:16-17 There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood. Also study Psalm 139. Yes, if you have had an abortion you can receive forgiveness for this sin if you Repent and cry out to God through Jesus Christ! Is this a rant from a babbling idiot? Some would say so. But this is God’s opinion and all humanity will stand before Him regardless of your belief or understanding! It matters not at all if you disagree. Here is the article.
The news out of Sarasota, Florida caught many people by surprise. A doctor in the city has lost his license because he aborted what is now described as the “wrong” baby. Back in 2006, Dr. Matthew Kachinas had been asked to perform an abortion on a baby that had been identified as having Down syndrome and other congenital defects. Instead, the doctor aborted that baby’s healthy twin. As reported in The Miami Herald:
A Sarasota doctor has lost his license for mistakenly aborting a healthy twin during a procedure targeting a deformed fetus. Immediately after the Florida Board of Medicine’s decision Saturday, Dr. Matthew Kachinas was involuntarily hospitalized because he said he planned to commit suicide. Kachinas had blamed faulty ultrasound equipment for the 2006 mistake. He was targeting a fetus with Down syndrome and signs of a heart defect. CBS News added further details: “The woman had asked the doctor to perform a selective termination procedure on the male fetus, which had congenital defects. An ultrasound later showed that the other fetus, a female that did not appear to have medical problems, had been terminated.” What are we to make of this? We now know that the vast majority of babies identified prenatally as carrying the genetic markers for Down syndrome are aborted. National statistics indicate that 80-90% of such babies are now aborted — meaning that we have launched a search and destroy mission on Down syndrome babies in the womb.
The situation with Dr. Kachinas reveals the horribly confused morality that marks modern America and, in far too many cases, the practice of medicine. This doctor was asked to perform what is now euphemistically called a “selective reduction.” Instead, he aborted “the wrong baby,” killing a healthy baby instead of the baby identified as carrying the markers for Down syndrome.
Consider what this means for the sanctity of human life. We are now looking at babies as consumer products. We will accept babies that meet our specified qualifications, and abort when medical tests or other factors reveal that the baby does not meet our standards. Human life is reduced to just another consumer product subject to consumer preferences and demand. Do we recognize what this means? The abortion of Down syndrome babies is a scandal of the first degree, and this nation is growing more complacent and complicit in this scandal by the day. Beyond this, we can be certain that babies are now being targeted in the womb for reasons far beyond Down syndrome. Specialists working with autism are concerned that forthcoming genetic tests will put babies who carry markers for autism next on the list for prenatal search and destroy missions. This news story out of Florida is a warning to the entire nation. What is the real scandal here — that this doctor was ready to kill a baby with Down syndrome, or merely that he aborted “the wrong baby?”

Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire!
Lies! Lies! Lies! Are you a liar? Do you excuse lies? Do you like it when someone lies to you? Well God doesn’t like lies either! How do I know that you may ask? Simple, just listen to what He says. “Proverb 6:16 There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.” I know that some of you reading this will say that God doesn’t hate? WRONG!!! He HATES a lying tongue and false witness who pours out lies! Notice there are two of the seven in this list that deal with lying! Again God said “Exodus 20:16 "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.” Is not God saying DON’T LIE? Yes He is! Some may say, “that’s the Old Testament and doesn’t apply to us today.” Really! Ok, let’s look at the New Testament. Matthew 15:19 Jesus said, “For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.” Oops, there it is again. False testimony is lying! How about this verse; 1John 2:21 “I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. 22 Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist-- he denies the Father and the Son.” Still think lying is ok? You have lied to yourself if you think lying is ok as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone. Liar, liar, pants on fire! Remember that saying? Well according to the Word of the Lord, more than your pants will be on fire. Listen up, Revelation 21:8 “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars-- their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." The human soul who continues to lie will have their soul on fire! Is this to condemn you? NO! Only to warn you if you about lying, or rather warn you of the consequences of lying. You and I have all lied at one time or another, unless you lie to yourself, then we need to do something about our lying tongue! Here is Good News. 1John 1:8 “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive (lie to) ourselves and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.” Lying is a sin and we need to stop! Look at how lies have destroyed some of our relationships. How about the lies from our Government? Do you like it when they lie to you? Jesus gave us a road map to lead us to the Truth, because He knows people will believe liars easier than the Truth. Here is the way out; John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 8:31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Jesus died on the Cross to pay the penalty for our sins, including our lies! Turn away from lies ad turn to the Truth and you shall be Free Indeed!!

Words to Live!
There are Ten Principles I would like to share from God’s Word. Many have come to know them as the Ten Commandments. Pick up your Bible and spend a bit of serious time with the Commandments recorded in Exodus 20:1-17. It could be the best thing you do today!
You will not find a 1200-page congressional bill, but you will find about 300 words that outline good life and good government. No person who wants to know the Way, the Truth and the Life can ignore these 10 principles of life. No Nation that wants to weave a successful history of democracy can ignore and break these 10 principles of governance. These commandments or principles were given to the Israelites as they emerged from long and debilitating slavery in Egypt. They were abject slaves. They were nobodies. They had no government. They had no direction. God used Moses, their leaders, to pass along to them the foundational principles to organize a successful nation and create a citizenry that could maintain it. So, here we have them. Ten fundamental principles of government and society over which a nation or a person rises or falls! They are basic. They are unchangeable. They are forever! So, hang them in your homes, but more importantly write them into your heart and daily living. Hang them in the halls of our capital and in the public square, but more importantly write them into national legislation.
Notice that these principles fall into two sections. Principles 1-4 are found in versus 1-11 and have to do with our relationship with God. Principles 5-10 are found in versus 12-17 that have to do with our relationship with each other.
* First, the relationship with God. The “words” God spoke are clear and concise: (1) recognize “the Lord thy God,” the one and only God, the Creator, the deliverer, the Sustainer; (2) make no image of God image of God to break your personal relationship with God; (3) make no light or frivolous use of God’s Name - He is Holy - practice reverence; and (4) God has named one day of seven as “the Lord’s Day” - a day of rest, a day of worship, a day to come up out of the secular world for a breath of spiritual air and spiritual renewal. Keep it Holy!
* Second, the relationship to each other: (5) honor the family, father, mother, child - this is the commandment with promise - the best of life; (6) human life is sacred - do not murder, no abortion - no murder, period; (7) God’s established role for a man and a woman - wedded relationship, when two become one, a sexual breach of that sacred relationship is a divine “No, no;” (8) protection of private property is essential to any human society - stealing is condemned; (9) honesty - speak the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, this is essential to a workable society; and (10) do not covet - “no keeping up with the Jones’s”, desiring what doesn’t belong to you, curb evil inner desires.
“The cowboy church put them this way; Just one God. Honor your Ma and Pa. No tellin’ tales or gossipin’. Git yerself to Sunday meetin’. Put nothin’ before God. No foolin’ around with another feller’s gal. No killin’. Watch your mouth. Don’t take what ain’t yers. And don’t be hankerin’ for yer buddies stuff.” As a columnist put it; “These “Commandments” are stated, they are “principles” by which individuals or Nations live or die. They are the Foundation of the good life and National democracy. Why would the ACLU try to remove them from the public square? Do they have a hidden agenda? Do these biblical principles stand in their way? YES, they do!” Dr. Julian Pipkin
Jesus summed it all up as he stated the Great Commandment. First, love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul and mind. And second, love your neighbor as yourself. Think on these things and more importantly, obey. You will be Blessed if you live these 10 Principles!

Thank God for Obama!
“We are 5 days away from Fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” “Change is coming to America.” “The Constitution is a document of negative liberties; what the government can’t do to Americans, but it never goes into what the government should do on behalf of Americans.” “I will not have special interest groups in my administration.” Anyone with honesty will have to say “you lie!” Mr. President. If we Americans compare what our President actually says compared to what he does, can there be a better definition than fascist? I wish to define a word, Fascism;“A form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation or victimhood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy and purity, in which a mass_based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion.” [Robert O. However there is something good that has come as a result of this President. I know that many of you will read this only because you think I will join in the Obama bashing club! Some of you may think that I have lost my mind and have drank the Progressive and Marxist cool aid! How many of you have found yourself praying more diligently for America? How many Americans do you know that are actually waking up from their slumber? How many do you know that used to never vote for or against anyone but now see that instead of complaining about policies from politicians they are actively voting for people who reflect their own principles and values? Our Nation has become Morally bankrupt. Largely because people look to men to solve their problems instead of God. As a result of a Nation of baby killers and Sodomites, we may be seeing God use Fascism to humble Americans who never get involved in our leaders who set themselves up as god. Idolatry is run amuck in our Nation and God wants us to repent! Compare Israel of the past with America of today. (2Chronicles 36 and Daniel 1) God in a nutshell sent Israel into captivity because of their idolatry and evil leaders. Israel did repent after the discipline of the Lord their God, but only after 70 years in Babylon. Maybe just maybe America is better than Israel. Is this your thinking? Think again! It is my sincere prayer that God’s people in this country will say thank you God for Obama, we have seen the errors of our ways and are repenting of our political Idolatry! May all who call themselves Christian take the attitude of Daniel. I know this is an opinion of the Bible and it is hard to obey. But I am convinced that God is in control of our destiny!!!

How many do you know that used to never vote for or against anyone but now see that instead of complaining about policies from politicians they are actively voting for people who reflect their own principles and values? Our Nation has become Morally bankrupt. Largely because people look to men to solve their problems instead of God. As a result of a Nation of baby killers and Sodomites, we may be seeing God use Fascism to humble Americans who never get involved in our leaders who set themselves up as god. Idolatry is run amuck in our Nation and God wants us to repent! Compare Israel of the past with America of today. (2Chronicles 36 and Daniel 1) God in a nutshell sent Israel into captivity because of their idolatry and evil leaders. Israel did repent after the discipline of the Lord their God, but only after 70 years in Babylon. Maybe just maybe America is better than Israel. Is this your thinking? Think again! It is my sincere prayer that God’s people in this country will say thank you God for Obama, we have seen the errors of our ways and are repenting of our political Idolatry! May all who call themselves Christian take the attitude of Daniel. Listen to our Bible; “1Timothy 2:1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone–
2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men– the testimony given in its proper time. 7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle– I am telling the truth, I am not lying– and a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles.
8 I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.
I know this is an opinion of the Bible and it is hard to obey. But I am convinced that God is in control of our destiny!!!

America's Moral decline!
America is in a spiritual spiral. Christians seem to chase their tails when it comes to changing the moral decline in America. It appears that America does not care about a relationship with its Creator who bestowed the freedoms that has brought more light and hope to this dark world than any other country in history. What’s the problem? Better yet, what is the solution? I am a believer in the transforming power of Jesus Christ through the indwelling Presence of the Holy Spirit. The solution to America’s problem is so obvious that most Christian’s may not see. Why do Christians want people of the world to understand God’s Word? They can’t! For the redeemed reading this, they will understand. The unredeemed reading this will scoff. Scripture says “1Co 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
When the Spirit illuminates the heart, then a part of the man sees that which he has never seen before; a part of him knows which he never knew before, and that with a kind of knowing which the most acute thinker cannot imitate. He knows now in a deep and authoritative way, and what he knows needs no reasoned proof. His experience of knowing is above reason, immediate, perfectly convincing and inwardly satisfying. “A man can receive nothing.” That is the burden of the Bible. Whatever men may think of human reason, God takes a low view of it...1Co 1:20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? “The inability of human reason as an organ of Divine Knowledge arises not from its own weakness but from its unfittedness for the task by its own nature. It was not given as an organ by which to know God.” Tozer It takes the Holy Spirit to unlock the Book! He who reads simply with the eye of the intellect will miss the glory of the Book, and will never realize the soul food with which it is stored. It is well to ask the Light and blessing of the Holy Spirit upon us each time we read. America does not need another man to change the moral temperature of the country; it needs the Christians to seek to minister to the empty souls of its countrymen. As an example, consider this. Pornography enslaves millions in America. To change this moral depravity is not found in government regulation but is found in showing people Jesus. If Jesus changes the hearts of the pornography seeking people, then the pornography industry will be out of business. Christians understand this but the enslaved cannot. Let us seek to lift Jesus up and allow Him to transform lives instead of trying to reason with the lost!

Gary Bauer sent out a special alert yesterday concerning how the liberal politicians and liberal media outlets are seeking to silence those who are speaking out against out of control spending and the take over of vital industries. The liberals are upset that common citizens like you are exercising their right to free speech, and are using it to let the liberals know they have had enough and are going to let their voice be heard.
I urge you to get involved, stand up and speak out. Make the phone calls, send the e-mails, make the phone calls. Don't let the liberal left silence you! The future of our country and our children and grandchildren is at stake. The ugly name calling shows that your voices are being heard. Please keep it up!

"All over the country, normal citizens are exercising their God-given rights of assembly, free speech and dissent. It is important for elected members of Congress to hear from their constituents, and it is a healthy exercise for our democratic republic.
"But the reaction from some in the media and political establishment has been very disturbing. It appears as though there is a coordinated effort to delegitimize public dissent, which strikes at the heart of our constitutional guarantee of free speech. Here is a sample of statements we have collected in the past 24 hours:
• "One member of Congress from Texas referred to his own constituents as "a mob," saying, "This mob...did not come just to be heard, but to deny others the right to be heard."
• "From the Democratic National Committee: "Republicans and their allied groups -- desperate after losing two consecutive elections and every major policy fight on Capitol Hill -- are inciting angry mobs of a small number of rabid right wing extremists funded by K Street Lobbyists to disrupt thoughtful discussions about the future of health care in America taking place in Congressional Districts across the country."
• "From a Virginia congressman: "When you look at the fervor of some of these people who are all being whipped up by the right-wing talking heads on Fox, to me, you’re crossing a line."
• "White House Spokesman Robert Gibbs: "I hope people will take a jaundiced eye to what is clearly the Astroturf nature of grass-roots lobbying. This is manufactured anger."
• "CNN commentator and political strategist Donna Brazile: "They're renting organizers. The left has done it. Now they're doing it. This little small band of protesters are trying to stop members [of Congress] from doing their jobs."
"The same leftists who for years applauded when demonstrators took over the streets to protest the Iraq war, amnesty for illegal aliens or who attacked churches that supported marriage remaining between a man and woman, suddenly see a few hundred retirees, small businessmen, homemakers, farmers, sales clerks and just plain folks as evidence of 'rightwing extremism.'
"My friends, the Left believes that name-calling can intimidate you into silence. Don't cave! As an American, you have a right to express your views to the politicians who WORK FOR YOU, even if they don't like it.
"The fact is, you are in the majority now – not the leftists trying to push European socialism on you. The American people do not want government-run healthcare, as a new poll out today from Quinnipiac University shows. The poll found that '52 percent of American voters disapprove of the way [the president] is handling the health-care issue and 39 percent approve.' Here's more from the poll: By a whopping 72%-to-21% margin, voters don't believe healthcare reform will be paid for or be 'deficit neutral.' And by a 20-point margin, 57%-to-37%, voters say healthcare reform should be abandoned if it adds to the deficit.
"By the way, the Washington, D.C., newspaper The Hill reported this weekend that labor unions and leftwing organizations "will spend between $10 million and $20 million this month to twist lawmakers' arms over the stalled healthcare reform effort in Congress" and the Employee Free Choice Act. So, ACORN, Big Labor and other groups can organize and protest in support of the liberal agenda, but how dare anyone speak up against it!
"My fear, given the stakes and emotions on both sides, is that union thugs, ACORN activists and leftwing anarchists (who ransacked the streets of Minneapolis and St. Paul during last year's Republican National Convention) will turn violent and innocent people will get hurt. If that happens, the radical Left will bear the responsibility for demonizing free speech."
