Is there a spirit of deceit at work in our country?

Great day, is it just me or is there a spirit of deceit at work in our country. There are so many lies being told by our National leaders that we the people are numb and do not know the truth anymore. The Bible addresses this issue that we face. 2Thessilonians 2:9-12 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. Remember we wrestle not against flesh and blood (people) but against principalities and powers in the heavenly realms; we wrestle with Satan who is the father of lies! The only way to understand the Truth and to know the Truth is Jesus. "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus also said you will know the Truth and Truth will set you free! My dear reader, the Bible is the only source of Truth. Listen to the truth about this book. This book contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of life, the doom of sinners, the happiness of believers. Read it to be wise! Believe it to be safe. Practice it to be Holy. It gives light to direct you, food to support you and comfort to cheer you. It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently, prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, a river of pleasure. The Bible sets forth two things- the Cross and the Throne. The Old Testament points toward the Cross. The Gospel tells the story of the Cross. The Epistles point toward the Throne. The Revelation tells the story of the Throne. The Old Testament tells us what sin leads to and ends with the words; “Lest I come and smite the Earth with a curse.” Malachi 4:6. The New Testament shows the way out of sin and ends thus : “The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.” Revelation 22:31. The Bible is the greatest of all books: to study it is the noblest of all pursuits; to understand it, the highest of all goals. - Charles C. Ryrie
